GIVEAWAY: PureBlue Beauté Shower Filter

EDIT 11.10.15: Congratulations Ronald Sim! You have won yourself a PureBlue Beauté Shower Filter!

My family drinks filtered water. Point-of-use water filters remove chlorine, chlorine byproducts and lead from drinking water immediately prior to consumption, thus preventing harmful substances from entering the body.

We use an air ioniser for the home as well! My husband has very sensitive airways and a little whiff of foreign air particles (could be perfume) will make him sneeze for days. When we acquired the ioniser, his respiratory system improved significantly. Negative ions are oxygen atoms charged with an extra electron. It clears the air in your home of allergens like pollen and mold and hazardous airborne particles such as bacteria and viruses.

So why not use shower filters which provide the healthiest water for our children's developing immune system (like drinking filtered water) that release negative ions during showers (similar to an air ioniser)? I'd say, Go For It!

When we bathe, steam opens our pores, causing our skin to absorb chlorine and harmful chemicals. Chlorine also vaporises early and gets inhaled into our lungs causing other long term problems. Without a shower filter, the effect is accumulative and results in dry, sensitive skin, unhealthy scalp and damaged hair keratin.

Then again, we have survived many generations without a water or shower filter. Is this really a necessity or an accessory? I must say, our water and air are not as straightforward as they were two generations ago. Today, many pregnancies are aborted pre-maturely, the statistics for cancer patients are increasing and just look outside our windows now. Crazy hazy days! Those poisonous particles are lurking in the air we breathe and contaminating the water we drink. This is no longer about Kiasuism (being unnecessarily anxious about losing out) but about eliminating significant contaminants for healthier living.

PureBlue Beauté Shower Filter boasts:

Immediate benefits
- Soap lathers much better in smaller quantities
- Skin becomes softer, healthier, less dry and sensitive
- Reduced breakouts of rashes and wrinkle formation
- Hair becomes silkier and healthier
- Prolonged lifespan of coloured hair

Long-term benefits
- Reduces risk of asthma and bronchitis from chlorine inhalation
- Decreases the risks of bladder and breast cancer
- Children, who are particularly at risk, benefit especially from the removal of chlorine from shower water
- Promotes higher energy levels and overall health

With the hazy weather right now, we cannot get to enjoy the pool.  Therefore, we've turned to water playing fun in the tub instead (bubbles included). I personally think this is the best solution to "Swimming" right this moment. Besides, they get to enjoy clean filtered water as opposed to a chlorine-filled pool! That's a BIG consolation.

We've got only one PureBlue Beauté Shower Filter at the moment and we use the standing shower room more than the bath. A plus point is its easy installation to allow me to switch the filter easily from shower to bath, depending on where the children might be. No tools are needed. It is basically a plug-and-play!

If you are skeptical, you may first choose to purchase their SGD 9.90 Chlorine Test Kit to give your water a quick assessment. Otherwise, all purchases of PureBlue Beauté Shower Filter at SGD 92 entitles you to free local delivery and a chlorine test kit. For best results, we are encouraged to change its filter every six months depending on consumption and home water quality. Shop here.
